My Laptop

Remember my old Laptop Sony Vaio that I posted last time .. I just had it fixed and removed te virus,, I wasnt happy with my laptop  because it was so sluggish and the technician advised me to add bigger laptop memory . I am thinking about doing it ; but actually I rarely use it ,, I took it to my hubbys workplace so whenever I need to do dome work I can use it... I'm quite happy with my Imac and enjoying it so much...

 I installed an educational games on it so that Braiden can use it and sometimes they can use it to watch a DVD..

Litratong Pinoy ( Madumi)

Hay ilang linggo na rin akong walang lahok sa Litratong Pinoy ... naging busy lang ako ...
Naghahanap ako ng bagay na madumi ,, humm, medyo nahirapan ako... habang nag dri drive ako sa aking kapitbahayan ay medyo naghahanap ng madumi ,, pero ang aming suburb ay malinis at kaaya aya...

So naghanap ako sa aking file na maga larawan at na alala ko na kinunan ko nga pala ito... bukod sa madumi ang isip ng aking esposo ay madumi rin ang kanyang ash tray ( ha ha ha) ,, naipon ang kanyang upod ng sigarilyo.... well di ko minsan pinakikialaman ang kanyang ash tray kasi banas na banas na ko sa kanya sa kasisigarilyo, gusto ko ng mapansin nya na sandamukal na ang kanyang nasigarilyo... at para maisip nya na kailangan na nyang tumigil...  nag aalala rin ako sa kanyang kalusugan...  alam nyo naman ang epekto ng paninigarilyo sa katawan di ba???

In fairness naman,, nung magkakilala kami ay tumigil sya sa pag yoyosi,, mga 5 taon din yon,, ngunit nung magkasakit ang kanyang ina ay na stress sya at nag simula uling magsigarilyo hanggang sa pumanaw ang kanayang ina.... hindi ko naman sya masisisi alam ko ang kanyang nararamdaman..

Araw araw ang aking paalala na sya ay tumigil ,, ngunit nahihirapan sya... sana balang araw ay maging malakas ang kanyang will power...
anyway ako rin ang naglinis nyan ,,wala kasing epekto sa kanya ang teknik ko.... so ayun at araw araw ay madumi ang ash tray  nya....

I will watch the movie Australia

The kids are very well behave everytime we're out . So we have no problems taking them out for lunch..

TOY HUNT ( Red Toy/s)

This is my entry for this week's TOY HUNT with a theme Red Toy/s...

Well the ever famous ELMO the red fluffy character... One of the most famous Sesame Street character,,, well I grew up watching Sesame streets and still one of the best educational show on TV ... Actually this was Braiden's Elmo and was handed down to Bianca ... Still in good condition .. The last pic is the ELMO Limbo Rock,, it sings and do the LIMBO ,, so it means it slides and bend its body to go under  a stick ... 

Well,,, I also bought a new TICKLE ME ELMO  but  a Christmas Present for a friends daughter .. My kids are over Elmo now... 

I already placed this Elmo in a box for give away,, That is why I took a picture of it so the kids will remember their good pal ELMO....

The Mentalist show

I am not a TV addict ,, I rarely watch TV shows on normal channels.. We have a Foxtel (Cable channels) and I sometimes watch Lifestyle shows... I  record the shows and if I have a free time then that is when I watch the recorded shows... But lately I came across a TV show called The Mentalist ,, I started watching one episode and I  am hooked on it now.. I am not a big fan of mystery solving crimes... but this one is different I found it to be witty and Simon Baker plays the role of the Mentalist named Patrick Jane who has a certain charisma that makes you mesmerize.. dont know why???  

I was able to get my hubby hooked on the show too,, and then he told me that Simon Baker is  Australian... well I didnt know that.... he's  bloody good!!!!

Anyway... this is a must see show , you wont regret it...

The Mentalist tells the tale of Patrick Jane, who is employed as an independent detective working with the California Bureau of Investigation to solve crimes. He was making a living as a psychic and would assist the police on cases -- only his life changed when he lost the two most important people in his life to one of those serial killers he was helping track. He uses his refined observation skills to help them solve cases. He works with Senior Agent Teresa Gibson, Agents Kimball Cho & Wayne Rigsby and the rookie Grace Van Pelt.

Feet Problem

My daughter  Micah needs a new school shoes again.. I just recently bought her a new school shoes,, but when I looked at it... it is ready to be thrown out in the bin..... Its all worn out on the side of her shoes... because Micah's got a feet problem.

It's been 3 years now since I first noticed her foot pronation ,,her foot is turned inwards .. and she was complaining about a pain in her ankles.. so I tooked her to the Podiatrist and she was measured to have an insole Orthotics and mind you it is not cheap ..
she has to wear it everyday even during Sports to correct her body mechnanics,,, well we dont want it to be worse and end up with pain like those with  Plantar Fasciitis . She is a very active girl who plays a lot of Sports and ends up with pain on her feet...

So now Micah is whinning again to take her back to her Podiatrist to have a new Orthotics because its been 3 years now.. So I have to book her for an appointment...

Sydney Aquarium Visit ...

We had a great weekend..

WE took the kids to Sydney Aquarium , Braidens been bugging us all he time to see SHARKS... Yes.. his new fascination is Sharks.... I bought him DVD , Books about sharks and he is constantly talking about it,,, Friday we took him to a local fish store to see small sharks but he is not contented with it,, he kept on saying he want to see big sharks in Sydney.. yes,, we've been to the Sydney Aquarium heaps of times thats why Braiden remembers that Sharks in  Sydney are huge!! and true enough ,, you can see all sorts of big sharks .. They also have a new feature where you can feedthe Sharks where you can ride on the glass bottom boat 

During the feed; sharks may get very close to the boat and perform surface fining, where their dorsal fin protrudes from the water. It's an adrenaline-pumping moment when you see that iconic fin break the water's surface, but you can relax in perfect safety

Your experienced Shark Explorer guide will point out lemon sharks, black tip reef sharks, grey reef sharks and leopard sharks as you get hands on during the feed.

But Humm... I dont think so... Braiden is still too young to go into that activity... So he just enjoyed himself looking at the sharks and sea creatures.

It was relaxing to be inside the Aquarum,, enjoying and appreciating the beauty of the marine life...

Able Benchtops - our Business

It's been more than 3 years now since we bought the business ABLE BENCHTOPS and through my hubby's effort and hard work we are still managing to make business... We had ups and downs and we know it is a part of establishing it ... We researched and looked for small business opportunities and had some ideas on what to establish..

At the moment there is a financial crisis all over the world and as a small business we are very much affected; but we have to be positive and just keep on giving good quality service to keep up..

As I mentioned before I go to the office 3 times a week now; learning the ins and out of this business; so I am the new apprentice in his office at the moment.. Mind you I dont think my hubbys got the nerve to fire me!! I'll dont think he will do what Donald Trump line "You're Fired"!! or else I wont cook dinner for him!!!!! ha ha ha...

The day before the event I was busy looking for a dress and shoes,, I bought the dress first and I was frantically looking for the shoes that will match my plum dress , while I was roaming the shopping center I was even looking for Asgi shoes   and other brands.. But after a long walk and  my determination payed off I found a perfect shoes and a bag to fit my beautiful dress.

We spent the day out in a  restaurant at Darling Harbour for a company's luncheon for Melbourne Cup Day celebration ...

Twilight the movie -- My daughter is eagerly waiting for the movie

My daughter is into Stephanie Meyers' books...

She loves the books and keep on raving about it. It's sweeping throughout her School and they all loved it..
I visited Stephanie Meyers site and it is really a world wide success ..
I just want to post one of the many reviews she's got:

Twilight the Movie will open in December 2008; and Micah is getting excited!!!

Letters for Santa...

My hubby went to the site of Australia Post to get Santa Claus' address . We've done it last year and now we are doing it again...

Joe went online with the kids on his lap and showed them the site .. The kids were excited and told me that they are writing their Christmas wish to Santa.. Hubby downloaded a Santa Mail Letterhead and made a letter for them and the kids wrote their names.. So tomorrow I will post the letter to SANTA!!!! This is also free and for sure before Christmas we will receive a SPECIAL LETTER FROM SANTA!!!!

When Micah my eledest daughter saw it she said she is going to write santa to give her a  treadmill   well, my teenage girl is getting so conscious now with her body.. and I don't know if Santa will give her that!!!! I bet not......

Toy Hunt ( Fluffy/ Stuffed Toys)

These are Bianca's fluffy / stuffed toys ... She's got heaps of fluffy toys lying around everywhere but these are her favorites especailly the Blue Bear which she takes with her in Pre school.. It is her "Security toy "and whenever she cries she is always crying for her Blue bear. It gives her comfort and she feels secured with it...

Being careful....

The financial crisis that sweeping the whole world has increased the incidence of crime everywhere.. It is sad to see all the violence and crimes that's making our lives feel unsecured. Elderly and women are among the vulnerable people in or society..

My husband who used to train Kung Fu has been teaching me some ways to protect myself from  any possible threat , and I take it by heart because I needed some defense first of all I am just 5 feet tall and petite someone can just grab me.. I think wat I need is to get a  self defense products    like a pepper spray and what I saw a Pretender Cellphone Stun Gun; which is really cool..    But most of all I am very cautious of my surroundings and strangers.. It is better to be wary than sorry....

Litratong Pinoy (Kadiliman)

Ito ang lahok ko para sa LitratongPinoy na may temang Kadiliman....

Kinunan ko nung nakaraang buwan nung pumunta kami sa Canberra,,, pauwi na kami non ng kinailngan namin na tumigil sandali dahil ang aking anak ay kailangan pumunta sa banyo.. May lugar dito na pwde kang tumigil at may  banyo pa..

Kaya lang nung tumigil kami ay medyo dapit hapon na... at ang langit ay madilim dahil sa parating na bagyo... Sabi ko sa asawa ko na dalian sapagkat hindi ko gusto ang aking pakiramdam sa lugar na ito... Feeling ko ay parang nasa pelikula ako ng Blair Witch!!!!!! bagamat maraming puno sa kapaligiran ang dating ng Vibe sa akin ay kakaiba,, So kinunan  ko pa rin ng lawaran ang madilim na lugar mabuti na lang at di lumitaw sa larawan ang kampon ng Kadiliman!!!!!! WRAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Happy Halloween to all!!!!!!!!!

Cleaning my entrance door

I am going to share more cleaning  tips .. I 'm not saying I am a neat freak!!! because I'm not .. I am not a Domestic Goddess too.. My Hubby would be happy if I am .. ha ha ha.... but I'm just a regular mom who cleans up and sometimes just laze around or( blog around )  Well sometimes I have to resist my blogging urge.. As if my Macoy ( my Mac's name ) is calling me... I have to finish my chores first as I say to myself ... 

I read a lot about anything like speed cleaning, getting organized,, and getting much needed tips to keep my life Sane!!!!!! 

Yes... and I try and test those tips and find out which one suits me and which is effective....

Well this weeks tip is Cleaning your Entrance 

The entrance of your house is very important to keep clean because this is the first thing that he visitor will see.. So get all your cleaning equipments ready .. I also have a basket ready so I can put all the things that does not belong to that place.. .. Its what they call Clutter basket..

Clear any cobwebs outside the front door... I use a long broom for this;  making sure every corner is clean..

Wipe the door  ,, then clean your door hardware  , making sure you're using an appropriate cleaner.. For Brass try using vinegar on a cloth,, wiping it properly to kill germs and wipe the hand markings off..

Shake you entrance mat;  water any plants , give it a trim and take away dead leaves..

Make your entrance look inviting ,, by placing some pot plants next to the door,, it will also be a good Feng Shui , or try to place a door mat which says WELCOME... there are cheeky door mats that I've seen but I guess having a WELCOME sign is far more better...  Once you've done that .. its your choice  continue inside or grab a cup of tea or coffee,relax and unwind at least you've done something  .. 

Watch out for more....

Cleaning up the toilet..

I mentioned that I am in a cleaning mode this time of the year.. SPRING CLEAN is getting on to my system... with all the advertisements and some  published article about cleaning ,, I am just having a cleaning bug... well that is a good bug!!!

I've been trying a new method of cleaning at the moment ,, its having a chemical free method..

and actually I'm quite impress with it ..

The good old  Bicarbonate  and White vinegar in a bottle spray....!!!let me start with the Toilet room and cleaning the faucets sprinkle bicarb spray the vinegar,, you will see it will bubble up and hear the fizzling sound..  this is good because you don't want to damage your faucet especially if it as nice and elegant as Delta faucets  ,, you have to be cautious about the chemicals that you're using... well back to the cleaning ----- I  then  I tried to use an old stocking , wrap around the back of the faucet and then move backwards and forwards like a sawing action,, I also have an old toothbrush to access any hard to reach areas.. making sure I also clean the edge of all the drains.. and you will see the difference using a natural cleaner... Spotless!!!! watch out for more tips.....

Organizing my shoes

That was our weekend..

Spring time here in Oz and what a better day to spend the day by organizing my wardrobe..

Ages ago I bought clear shoe boxes from ALDI  and I never finished doing it.... So this weekend , I said to myself , enough procrastinating and finish the task that I've been wanting to do for some time now...

On my left I 've got a shoe box but its not really clear ; the one on the right is a Clear Rigid box. I like it because I can see what's inside it clearly and it also comes with a Silica sachet to keep the moist out...

My closest friends here in Australia are mostly Pinays andThai ..
We all live in the same suburb and SAHMs.....

We often go for lunch,, usually at home,, so every now and then we go around each other's places for lunch,,,, Not a night out,,

 but the usual topic is FAMILY, kids and shopping ---- finding the BEST Bargain in town!!!!! we love sharing about a new household equipment and new products, cleaning tips ...
Latest chsismis and just anything and everything under the SUN,, no pretentions and no jealousy -- well that is far as I know... 

We try to limit our numbers,, just us, and try not to bring anymore people in our group,, we had some bad experiences before and we dont want that to happen again..

We always joke around that our JOINING FEE is way too expensive,, and we are no longer accepting members.. ha ha ha... 

We've known each other for almost 7 years now,, so we tend to stick with each other.. although we never see each other every week,, its better because there are still topic to talk about when we do have lunch,, and believe me .. its non stop talking...

Australian Summer....

Yes.... warm sun, surf  and swim!!!!! That is Australian Summer.... Full of beautiful people enjoying the Aussie heat...

But one thing for sure sexy swimwear  will be "in" again.... one of the best place to see them is in Bondi Beach .. Girls and guys showing off their curvaceous bodies , full of confidence and poise...

Whenever we have a visitors  from overseas we never miss to show them the Famous Bondi Beach where you can just chill out and enjoy the views.... where ever you turn;there will be a good sight to see,, people and nature...

So ,, its heating up and people are flocking to the beach to get some tan or just enjoying the water and relaxing by the sand... Cant wait to be there too.. but not wearing this sexy one... Hummm.. I don't think I can pull it out,,, I just wear a  conservative type swimwear only... 

Getting Slack

It's been more than 2 months since I stop going to the gym... I am just being slack and ran out of motivation... I used to love going there .. even for just 30 minutes of workout ..but since I started going to Joes work 3 times a week,, I'll have no more time to spare to go to the gym.. 

Hummm.......I guess I have to do something else to avoid those  wobbly wobbly bits.. 

I try to eat sensibly and cut out on too much calories... but whawwww!!! its just too tempting to eat my favorite cake and chocolate.... Im just wondering if I  buy Phentermine   and try it ,, will it be effective...??? I have to look at some review and reports about it...

I'll start working again....

I've been going to my hubby's work/ business for the past few days now... and I'm doing a little bit of work,,, my hubby said I have to learn how to do the  paper works and do some ordering so that I know how the business works... Its fair enough!!! so  now I  go to work 3 times a week , my hubby is busy at the moment and at the same time all stressed out because one of the bearings in his machine is playing up.. so we have to call a mechanic to fix it quickly so my hubby can finish all his work.. 

While he is working downstairs I am upstairs being trained by  our secretary; she is patiently teaching me how to use MYOB and do paper works.. then after that I have to drive back home by around 4 pm to pick the kids from preschool , prepare dinner and do my motherly duties... Then when all things done and kids are off to bed.. then I squeeze some time to do my blogging.. So I guess I am not a SAHM anymore.. 

I'm still cleaning

I've been very good for the last few weeks now... I'm all hyped up and doing my Spring cleaning I've organized my pantry , my wardrobe and as I mentioned on my last post I cleaned up my home office ... This week's task for me is cleaning my bamboo blinds .. I usually dust it with vacuum cleaner using the vacuum brush.... Using vacuum cleaner can contain the dust and it's just easy .. 

Then I have to clean the window ..

I use a 1 cup of methylated spirits to a half a bucket of water then I transfer to a spray bottle .. Spray the solution onto the glass and I wipe with a squeegee,, I polish it with a paper towel or sometimes to be less expensive I use a microfibre cloth... And it is really spotless!!!!

 

Litratong Pinoy (Liwanag)

Ito ang aking lahok ngayon araw ng Huwebes na may temang Liwanag..

Kinunan ko ito nung  naraang linggo nung papunta kami sa Canberra  na makikita dito..

Ang araw na iyon ay medyo hindi maganda sapagkat umuulan,,  makikita sa larawan ang madilim na ulap at may konting liwanag na pilit na sumisilip sa madilim na kalangitan....
